The Meaning Of Family

Family means a lot to me
from the oldest to the youngest
Each person plays a part
in forming my character
Each person plays a part
in effecting my daily life and
the things that come out of it
Sometimes we argue
sometimes we fight
but at the end of the day
WE STILL LUV
ONE ANOTHER
when one is down
its felt
when one is missing
the absensce is heavy
When a loved one is
in pain
physically
OR
emotionally
its felt

There are times i wish
Wish i could go back
to yesteryear
to get my heart
back intack

to enter into a
relationship
where i got
abused

what i know
boring holes into my ears
coloring my hair [honeyblonde]

to talk about ppl
behind their backs
when they were
struggling just
like me

and say what i thought
about them

i now choose to correct my errors
and heal my own wounds

to be true to my body and stay in shape
to keep my thoughts to myself
if they are infact unkind

This is easier said than done
but i made the committment now i have to
stick it through

Situations in his life has made him who he is
and i dont care about his past i juss care about how he
lives his present in preparation for his future

Prison and gangs

Which he'll never forget
the pain
his mother doesnt know

dont judge him by his past
it definitely had a huge impact
on his character
but he's a better person today

Friendship&&Relationships

Searched a long time for something real
but why i am i searching for something im not
WHY??
Sometimes i spread rumors
Sometimes i dont mind my own business
Sometimes i hold onto yesterday

WHY??
People trust me but i violate that trust

WHy?
ive always wanted a boy to treat me right but i wasnt treating the boys
right. i was cheating on them...breakin their hearts...violating them...going out with their
friends.

Why???
WHen someone's ready to say something smart
i put them in their place
but can i take the same treatment from someone else when
i get smart heck no what the hell i look like :)

Growing up is hard
Things change
Choices get harder to make
Boys get harder to find
Good men are scarce
Locked up or six feet under
Uneducated
Good Women are also hard to find
knocked up before walking across the stage
and getting that diploma
Getting prego and not even knowing their own
anatomy

why is that...when you look for a true friend ask
yurself if yur a true friend

why is that...ask yurself if your a propermate...Think about it ;)

An Abusive Man

A punk
A scaredy cat
If he's going to hit a lady
then he shud hit a man
if only these men knw
what us women go through after
an abusive relationship
im still healing from one
My boyfriend fought this boy todaii
who bloodied his girl's face
her nose..her eyez....her leg..
she could barely walk
any man who feels the need to hit a woman
needs to think about four things:
Am i continuing a cycle?
is she hurting?
Why am i doing this?
Can and will i stop?

Growing Pains

Growing up is so hard
so many emotions
that we go through
everything that happens affects in a way
either positive or negative
Some of us wanna stay small forever
some of us wanna grow up quick
me personally
im ready to stay young forever
that way i aint gotta worry about
growing pains
People come and go
"Friends" always reminding you what
you did wrong
Phony ppl always coming around trying to either get it your wallet your pants or
share in the success you are destined to create
Pain, sorrow, tears are all apart of growing up
even when they're painful
so can someone stop the clock cause im tired of hurting from these growing pains

V~Card

I wasnt good enough to be ur girl
wasnt the one to make ur heart swirl
Goodie two-shoes is what you called me
said since i wont give up my v-card
had to dump me real hard
my momma taught me right
taught me to hold onto
my v-card real tight
Im special and im worth waiting on
A good book once said Good things come to those who wait
Never knew holding onto my pridewould bring me so much pain
Is it a crime for me to follow my own rules?
Is it a crime for me to be different?You had to be like everybody else
So your girl too, No Buddy
I was born with goals and promises and importantly dignity.
And Im going to keep it that way.
